Diamond Classic Gel for Extensions is a polymer light-cured material that, thanks to its strength, allows significant nail lengthening. It contains photoinitiators that start the polymerization process when exposed to UV light of a specific wavelength.
Features:
- Acid-free.
- Has shock absorption properties and doesn’t crack upon impact.
- Medium consistency.
- Medium pigmentation, covering the free edge.
- Suitable for the “no-filing extension” technique.
- Works well with "dual forms."
- Does not cause burning in the lamp.
- Becomes thicker in cold conditions and thinner in warmth.
- Thixotropic—becomes thinner when the brush moves during work.
- Can be warmed to make the gel thinner.
- Hardens at a thickness of 1 mm. If thinner, it may slightly flex, but this does not affect durability.
- Does not shrink and holds the arch well.
- Requires a Rubber Base underlayer.
- Curing wavelength is 380-420 nm.
- Suitable UV/LED lamp power: 36-48W.
- Allowable coverage thickness: 0.5 mm at the tip / 1 mm at the apex.
- Full cure time: 120 seconds.
Application Method:
Strengthening
- Remove the previous layer.
- Do not file the nail shape, or leave 2 mm in length to be removed after leveling.
- Using a 220-grit file, gently file the nail surface, raising the nail plate scales, or use a 100-grit buffer.
- Perform a manicure.
- If using removers, wash hands with soap afterward.
- Degrease the nail with Nail Prep LUNAmoon, using two rounds with four wipes (1 wipe for 5 fingers). First, wipe the nail surface; second, wrap an orange stick with a wipe and clean around the cuticle and sidewalls.
- Use a primer if desired; if the base has enough acidity, it may not be necessary.
- Apply a Rubber Base LUNAmoon underlayer with a flat gel brush in rubbing motions, covering all nail recesses. Cure for 60 seconds.
- Wipe off the tacky layer.
- Level with gel, leaving a 0.5–1 mm gap from the cuticle. Cure for 60 seconds.
- File the nail shape after leveling to create thickness at the edge to support the free edge.
- If the nail is thin, it may twist; file 1 mm of the natural nail from underneath to prevent material lifting.
- Wipe off the tacky layer and apply gel polish.
- Finish with a top coat. Cure for 120 seconds. Do not wipe after curing to retain shine.
Classic Extension
- Remove the old layer.
- Shorten the nail to 1 mm and round the shape.
- Using a 220-grit file, gently file the nail surface, raising the scales of the nail plate, or use a 100-grit buffer.
- Use the LUNAmoon primer.
- Apply a Rubber Base LUNAmoon underlayer with a flat gel brush in rubbing motions, covering all nail recesses. Cure for 60 seconds.
- Wipe off the tacky layer.
- Place a form for the free edge extension.
- Create the artificial nail shape with clear gel. Cure for 30 seconds.
- File the free edge and shape as desired.
- Wipe off the tacky layer and dust.
- Apply Rubber Base LUNAmoon again over filed areas. Cure for 30 seconds.
- Level with gel and place in the lamp, pinching at the 10–15 second mark. For high-tack or glitter-containing gels, pinch at 20 seconds.
- Complete curing for 120 seconds.
- Wipe off the tacky layer before applying gel polish.
- Apply a top coat. Cure for 120 seconds. Do not wipe after curing to retain shine.
